Puppy Mill Locator
Many puppy mills operate out of sight, but their impact is widespread.
Across the country, hundreds of thousands of dogs are kept in puppy mills, facilities where animals are bred repeatedly in conditions that often prioritize profit over welfare. Many of these dogs suffer from neglect, ongoing health issues, and short lifespans, while millions of puppies are born into systems that offer little chance at a healthy start.
This industry is shrouded in mystery and privacy. Locations and numbers of dogs are hard to find, because the puppy mills make sure that it is. Their privacy makes it difficult to know or find out where your dog came from. What we do know is that this is a $1B business in the US; this tool brings visibility to an issue that often operates out of sight.
